Student awards

Support may be available from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture for further and higher education courses. Applications are processed and administered by the Student Awards Section of the Department. See the Student grants page or contact:

The Department of Education, Sport & Culture has three Policy aims for Student Awards, these are:

• No student who is able to benefit from higher education should be denied access due to affordability
• Subject to meeting certain eligibility criteria, students should be able to choose their place and course of study
• Funding should not be provided for a course previously undertaken
