Student Awards Message Bulletin - April 2020
The Student Awards team are currently working very hard to provide up to date information, advice and support as the situation develops. 

As of 01/04/2020 we wish to make the public aware of the following:
  • 3rd Term Maintenance grant payments will be made on 17/04/2020. You will need to make sure that your Contributors have sent in copies of their 2018/19 Resident Assessment Notices from The Isle of Man Tax Office (This document is issued by the Isle of Man Tax Office and includes details such as the amount of tax refund, tax credit, and income tax already paid) If any contributors income is from business/self-employment please also forward copies of the year end 5/4/19 accounts. 
  • Our main public counter at Hamilton House currently remains CLOSED. You can send all correspondence and paperwork to us via email studentawards@gov.im or by post to Student Awards Team, Department of Education, sport & culture, Hamilton House, Peel Road, Douglas, IM1 5EZ. 
  • Phone lines are open (685822) we ask that you be aware that they may be busy during this time. 
  • The future process for applying for student awards funding is not expected to change.  However we are looking at opening the application portal sooner than usual so we can start to process applications as soon as possible. Please keep checking this page for further updates and the application link.
This information is all currently subject to change as we receive daily updates from Public Health England and the Chief Ministers Office.

Important note

Students from the Isle of Man are not eligible for a loan from the UK Student Loans Company.
