Invitation to businesses interested in commercial development in Central Douglas
The Government is undertaking a Masterplan for Central Douglas and has established a Central Douglas Masterplan Committee to oversee the development of the work.
The Committee is chaired by John Shimmin MHK, Minister for Economic Development. The Central Douglas Masterplan will be a non-statutory document which will encompass the central commercial area broadly within a half mile radius of the Tynwald Building.
The Masterplan work will focus on gathering an evidence base, identifying development opportunities and formulating an implementation and delivery programme. The work of the Committee is at an early stage and consultations with the public and stakeholders will be undertaken in due course. In preparation for the Masterplan, the Committee wishes to have an understanding of private sector interests in commercial development in central Douglas. To that end, the Committee cordially invites private sector businesses to contact the Regeneration Manager, Mrs Linda McCauley.
