The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) is inviting applications for a Chair and Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to join the Board of Isle of Man Meat Company Ltd (IOMMCL), with the recruitment opening today.
Individuals capable of delivering a long-term strategic plan for the Isle of Man's meat processing plant are being encouraged to apply. The Tromode-based abattoir is the only facility of its kind on the Island, providing the essential link between farmers and consumers, and a viable route to market for locally reared animals.
The company is at a pivotal moment. A significant transformation programme is already under way, with a clear focus on improving production, sales and commercial performance and on reducing reliance on government subsidy.
Successful candidates will provide independent oversight, strategic guidance and constructive challenge to the Senior Management Team, bringing complementary skills.
