Adult Social Care
They aim to help adults with disabilities and older people to live in their own homes as independently as possible for as long as possible. They offer support, advice and guidance both at home and in hospital. They assess individual care needs and, if necessary, arrange care packages.
If remaining at home is no longer possible, they can help with the move to sheltered accommodation, residential care or nursing care.

Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provides a comprehensive, evidence-based mental health assessment/treatment service to young people (who are under the age of 16 at the point of referral) and to their families who live in the Isle of Man.
The CAMHS team delivers an Island-wide assessment, treatment and support service for children and young people who are experiencing mental illness/neuro developmental disorders. The service operates a multi-disciplinary team where interventions are planned in collaboration with young people and their families/carers. CAMHS works in partnership with allied statutory and non-statutory agencies/providers.

The Department of Social Care's Children and Families team acts as the principal point of contact for children about whom there are child welfare concerns. Contact can be made directly by parents or family members seeking help, concerned friends and neighbours, or by professionals and other agencies. There are a number of reasons why a family may be facing difficulty and the Department will listen to your concern sympathetically and hopefully be able to support you and your family to overcome the current difficulties.
