Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Both Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation are based at Noble's Hospital. They provide an Island wide service for patients with:

• Coronary Heart Disease or who have undergone cardiac surgery
  
  
• Patients with a formal diagnosis of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

Patients will be invited to attend a group by the health professional looking after them. Each class combines individual condition monitoring with group-based exercise and education.

The therapists provide assessment and treatment throughout all phases of rehabilitation. This may include provision of an individually-tailored exercise programme, stress management, practical relaxation, education on lifestyle management, provision of aids and equipment and advice on fitness for work related activity. Patients can learn about living with a long term condition.

It is also provided on an individual basis to patients who do not meet the criteria for group sessions
