The Isle of Man Government has appointed Grace Eames as its new Chief People Officer, responsible for the working lives of nearly 8,000 public servants.
She will lead the Office of Human Resources (OHR), based within the Cabinet Office, and will play a central role in delivering the People Strategy 2026–2031, Government's plan to build a more engaged, skilled and inclusive public service.
With more than 30 years in senior HR leadership, she brings wide experience across regulated, unionised and politically sensitive environments. Most recently she ran her own consultancy advising on workforce governance, organisational design and culture.
Grace said:
'I am delighted to be joining at such an important time. There is real ambition within Government and a commitment to building a culture where colleagues feel valued and supported. I look forward to working with teams across government to turn that ambition into something people can feel every day.'
David Ashford MBE MHK, Minister for the Cabinet Office, added:
'Our people are at the heart of everything government delivers. Grace brings the experience and ethos we need to ensure the Isle of Man Government remains a place where people can thrive in their work.'
She will take up her position on 1 June.
