Recruitment opens today (Wednesday 18 February) for a new Chief People Officer to lead the Office of Human Resources (OHR) within the Isle of Man Government.
Julie Bradley, who currently leads OHR, has announced her retirement after 30 years’ public service in the Isle of Man, predominantly as the Industrial Relations Officer in the Manx Industrial Relations Service and, for the last four years, in OHR. Julie will be in post until the end of June, allowing time for recruitment of her successor.
OHR currently provides human resources, workforce and organisational development services to Departments, Boards and Offices across Government. The Chief People Officer will be responsible for the ongoing strengthening of OHR services to Departments, Boards and Offices enabling them to deliver efficient, consistent and trusted public services, and ensuring the Isle of Man Government is a place where people want to work.
The Chief People Officer is also principal advisor on HR matters to the Council of Ministers, the Public Services Commission, the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Officers.
