Friday, 14 February 2020

Following on from the publication of the Inspector’s Report into the Draft Area Plan for the East, the Cabinet Office has considered the recommendations made by the Inspector and proposes to adopt the plan with a number of modifications.

Out of a total of 111 recommendations, all have been accepted by the Cabinet Office apart from four. One has been rejected and three have been amended.

These can be found in paper five of the published documents that are open for comments.

Representations and objections can be made as part of a consultation exercise which launched today and will close on 14 April. For details of the modifications and to make representations visit the online Consultation Hub.

Cabinet Office will have regard to any representations before determining any further changes and adopting the Area Plan.  All views will be considered and representations can be made whether or not comments were made during the earlier part of the process.

It is anticipated that the adopted Area Plan will be considered by Tynwald later in the year.
