Adverse conditions are expected to affect the Island

From 11:00 GMT on Wednesday 04 February 2026

Until 15:00 GMT on Wednesday 04 February 2026

Coastal Overtopping (Amber):

Fresh easterly winds coupled with high spring tides will lead to significant overtopping of waves and debris a few hours either side of high tide (12:45).

Areas affected: Douglas promenade, Laxey and Ramsey promenades, western part of Shore Road (Rushen), and to a lesser extent Castletown promenade.

Inner Harbour (Yellow):

There is also a risk high tide may cause minor flooding at a few low-lying properties near Riverside Industrial Estate and Gardener's Lane in Ramsey and the Tongue in Douglas. Castletown harbour is not expected to have any issues as long as flood defences have been deployed.
