Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle overnight, which may fall as sleet or snow over higher ground. Cold with a strong south-easterly wind as temperatures fall generally to around 2 or 3°C but freezing over the hills with a risk of ice.
Outlook
A cloudy start tomorrow with some patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle at first, but soon clearing leaving the rest of the day mostly dry with some brightness developing. Top temperature around 6 or 7°C but feeling much colder in the strong south-easterly wind.
Outbreaks of rain will spread from the west Wednesday morning, clearing for a time in the afternoon before redeveloping during the evening. Remaining windy with a strong south-easterly wind but turning milder with temperatures rising to around 8 or 9°C during the evening.
