Title | Port St Mary Harbour Improvement Scheme Consultation May 2010 |
Description | The Port St Mary Harbour Improvement Scheme has been set up to carry out investigations, consultation and initial designs to establish how the existing facilities can be improved and look at the practicalities of building a new marina within the outer harbour. An important initial step will be to strengthen and improve the Alfred Pier. The development of a marina in Port St Mary with 24 hour access is seen as a very important stage in improving the facilities on offer to the leisure sector. A public consultation is being held at St Mary’s Church Hall, on Thursday 20th May, 10am – 8pm and Friday 21st May 9.00am – 4pm and at the Commissioners Offices on Saturday 19th June. Members of the public are invited to attend to view the work that has been achieved in producing an outline master plan for the scheme and discuss any issues with Department officers and consultants.
