Volunteers play a vital role in supporting patients, providing a friendly face, offering directions and practical assistance, and helping people feel welcomed and supported during their visit.
To find out more about roles and to apply online, please visit the dedicated Volunteer with Manx Care webpage. All applications are subject to DBS check.
Tanya Corlett, Volunteer and Student Placement Officer, commented:
'Coming to the hospital can be a daunting experience for a lot of people, so having a friendly face to assist really does make a difference to our Island’s community. Being a volunteer can provide you with the opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills, alongside offering a sense of belonging and direction. Whether you can offer a few hours each week or more regular support, we would love to hear from you.'
