Applications are currently being invited for the position of Her Majesty’s First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls in the Isle of Man.
Candidates must have relevant judicial experience in the Isle of Man or British Isles for at least five years and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of professional achievement and a comprehensive understanding of Manx law.
The First Deemster is President of the High Court of Justice of the Isle of Man and also holds the positions of Clerk of the Rolls and Deputy Lieutenant Governor, acting for His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, when required.
The First Deemster is a Crown position and the appointment will be made by Her Majesty The Queen, based on the recommendation made by a selection panel.
