Thursday, 16 April 2026

An administrative error within Treasury relating to rates demands for Andreas Parish Commissioners for 2026/27 is in the process of being corrected.

The issue affected around 750 properties and featured the incorrect amount of 175.4p.

Revised demands for 181.7p along with a covering letter apologising for the mistake have today been issued to all those affected.

Treasury Minister Chris Thomas MHK said:

‘I apologise for the administrative error within Treasury affecting Andreas Commissioners rates. Thanks go to the Commissioners, Chief Minister Cannan and Minister Johnston for bringing this to our attention immediately to enable the error to be corrected straight away.’

Treasury can confirm that the error affects only those who pay rates to Andreas Commissioners, and no other local authority.
