Welcome to the Civil Registry homepage. The Civil Registry is part of the Registries Section of the General Registry and is responsible for registering life events such as births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships which take place on the Isle of Man.
The Douglas Civil Registry, including its ceremony room, is based on the ground floor of the Registries Building on Deemsters Walk, just off Bucks Road, next to the Courts of Justice building and is open to the public Monday to Thursday; 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and Friday; 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. To assist you in locating the correct building, the picture below shows the public entrance to the Civil Registry.
Following a press release on 25th October 2013, with effect from 30th October 2013, Ramsey Town Commissioners will be providing a civil registration service at Ramsey Town Hall for the registration of births, deaths, marriage and civil partnerships.
