Elfin Glen and Claughbane Woods

Ballaglass glen

These glens are adjacent to the famous Hairpin corner on the TT course overlooking Ramsey. They provide excellent walking amid mature woodlands and conifers and offer spectacular views of the northern plain to the Point of Ayre and across the sea to the coast of Galloway. The woods are noted for the variety of small migrant songbirds that nest here during the summer months.

Access is by car or on foot from Ramsey.

The glens are managed by the Forestry Amenity and Lands Directorate of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
