Detailed forecast
Mostly dry this evening with fresh to strong westerly winds and just a small risk of a shower. The showers will move away later this evening as the wind turns to the north, introducing colder air and bringing the risk of ice this evening and tonight. Lowest temperatures minus 1°C in sheltered spots.
A cold and potentially icy start tomorrow, mainly over high ground, but otherwise largely dry with sunny spells as any wintry showers are likely to remain offshore to the west and south of the island. Top temperature 6°C but feeling much colder in strong northerly winds.
Outlook
Cold start on Thursday with some icy patches but otherwise dry and sunny. Fresh to strong northerly wind will only slowly decrease later, highest temperature 7°C.
