This evening & tonight will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain, which will turn wintry and start to fall as sleet or snow over higher ground, particularly overnight. Staying windy with a strong to gale force easterly wind, which will ease slightly overnight, but remaining strong. Minimum temperature generally around 3 or 4°C, but a couple of degrees colder over higher ground.
Outlook
Cloudy tomorrow with outbreaks of rain continuing to affect the island through much of the day, however any snow over the hills at first, will readily turn back to rain through the morning. Still windy with a strong easterly wind, with highs of 7°C.
Remaining unsettled on Saturday, and although some dry conditions are possible at first, further spells of rain are likely to develop at times. Breezy with a fresh to strong easterly wind and maximum temperature of 8°C.
