  • Ease of use – allowing you to have a single login to access all of your online services with Government means you will only have to remember one login id / password (not create a different user name / password for each Government Online Service)
  • Speed – using electronic services removes the need to travel to Government buildings, telephone for information or use paper to render returns. It also allows Government to respond faster to your submissions and become more responsive.
  • Flexibility – you will be able to manage your relationships with Government:
    • Act on behalf of others. - for example an Accountancy firm could file VAT returns on behalf of their clients.
    • Set up users and their access rights. You can set up other users to act on your behalf, within your account, and decide whether these users can have access to one or all of the services that you have enrolled for. For example you can allow someone to maintain your Income Tax Service but not access your VAT Service.*
    • Out-of-hours access. Most Online Services will be available around the clock which gives you the ability to communicate with Government when ever you want.
