Vacancy for: Member nominated by the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading
The Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal is an independent judicial body established in law to consider complaints of professional misconduct by advocates. Professional misconduct is when an advocate’s behaviour is outside the bounds of what is considered acceptable.
Under the Advocates Act 1976 (as amended) the Office of Fair Trading (the Office) is required to nominate two persons, not being Members of Tynwald to act as members of the Tribunal. A vacancy has arisen and the Office is now seeking applications from members of the public.
