Improving the affordability and availability of housing, a strategic priority of Our Island Plan, will be addressed in a statement at this month’s Tynwald sitting by Infrastructure Minister Dr Michelle Haywood MHK.
The statement will clarify the Isle of Man Government’s position which has been informed by work undertaken by specialist consultants Altair Ltd last year.
Ahead of the statement being delivered, the report which was commissioned to explore the possibility of establishing a housing association in the Isle of Man, has been published.
Consultation took place with a range of housing providers and stakeholders during the three-month process and the report was delivered at a cost of £79,290.
