Ransomware and Sanctions Guidance

The Customs and Immigration Division, the Isle of Man Information Commissioner and the Cyber Security Centre for the Isle of Man have published Ransomware and Sanctions Guidance which outlines how criminals use ransomware to fund their activities, what the consequences of a ransomware attack are, how to mitigate the risks and what to do if you are the victim of a ransomware attack.

  • Don’t panic
  • Follow any procedures in your organisation
  • Report to the Cyber Security Centre
  • Don’t pay any ransom demand
