Drop-in sessions for private landlords

Thursday, 17 September 2020

Three informal drop-in sessions will be held around the Island later this month for private landlords to find out more about proposed changes to legislation and discuss them with the Isle of Man Government.

The schedule follows a public consultation exercise on the Landlord Registration (Private Housing) Bill which closed in July. The Department of Infrastructure is eager to maintain engagement while the Bill is being finalised.

The sessions are open to all and will run from 4pm until 7.30pm at each of the following locations:

Tuesday 22 September Braddan Church Hall, Braddan Bridge
Thursday 24 September St Paul’s Church Hall, Ramsey
Thursday 1 October Port St Mary Commissioner’s Town Hall

Political members and officers will be available to discuss the introduction of the Bill and its practical implications.

Infrastructure Tim Baker MHK said:

‘I very keen to progress this important piece of legislation. I know that some people want to know more about the plans, so we are holding these sessions to allow informal one-to-one discussions. We will then work to review the points made and see what action we need to take as a result.’
