His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor has today, Thursday 16 July 2020, issued the writs for the House of Keys by-election in Douglas South.
Nominations will be sought to fill the seats vacated by the death of Mr Bill Malarkey and the resignation of Miss Kate Costain.
Prospective candidates must submit their nomination papers to the Returning Officer between 10am on Wednesday 22 July and 1pm on Wednesday 29 July.
In the event of a contest, registered voters in the constituency will go to the polls on Thursday 27 August 2020.
