Professional artist joins the Isle of Man Arts Council

Jade BoylanJade Boylan, a professional artist and designer, has been appointed to the Isle of Man Arts Council.

Jade is a professional artist with years of experience working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer from her home in the north of the island. She founded an online business marketing her designs as widely as America, Europe and Australia.

Marlene Maska MLC, Chairman of the Isle of Man Arts Council said:

'We are delighted to welcome Jade to the Isle of Man Arts Council. With her keen interest in literature, theatre, music and the visual arts, she will bring a valuable perspective and added depth to an already experienced and talented Council. This is an exciting appointment and we are looking forward to working with her.

'Research continues to show the contribution which the arts, culture and creativity make to our quality of life and general wellbeing; therefore it is vitally important that the membership of Isle of Man Arts Council reflects the unique character and opportunities our Island provides.'

Jade said:

'As the youngest member of the council, I'm looking forward to connecting with the Island's emerging artists, to enable them to develop their creative potential.'
