Entries invited for UNESCO biosphere Isle of Man Awards

Friday, 14 June 2019

Entries are invited for the second UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man Awards, with categories for Energy, Economic Sustainability, Environment and Education/public awareness.

Geoffrey Boot MHK, Minister for the Environment, Food and Agriculture, said:

‘Biospheres foster sustainable development, conservation and education.

‘Our awards offer organisations and individuals doing good work in these areas the chance to share their successes and inspire others.

‘Our inaugural awards were a great success and we hope the second awards will be another celebration of those enhancing our Biosphere.’

Entrants should give an overview of their projects and detail what they are achieving.
