Public encouraged to take part in cyber security survey

Monday, 15 April 2019

The public are being encouraged to take part in a survey to measure awareness of cyber security in the Isle of Man.

The survey, which launches today, 15 April 2019, follows the publication of the Isle of Man’s first National Cyber Security Strategy in May 2018 and the establishment in 2017 of a dedicated team within Government to lead on cyber security and information assurance at a national level.

The strategy makes clear the economic and social importance of the Isle of Man’s digital infrastructure to the Island’s way of life.  Through collaboration with business and the public, the strategy aims to protect the Island from cyber-attack and improve the resilience of critical digital infrastructure.

Cyber security is a shared responsibility between government, organisations, and citizens. Having a clear understanding of current levels of awareness is essential as a baseline measure, and will help with planning future activity.
