The Mountain Road will close for five days next week to allow essential maintenance work to take place on two collapsed culverts.
The Department for Enterprise will also be using the opportunity to remove Mountain Course furniture following the Festival of Motorcycling last month.
The closure will run from 9.30am on Monday 17 September until 6pm on Friday 21 September and will affect the route between Lheaney Road in Ramsey and Creg-ny-Baa Back Road in Onchan.
Parking will be suspended through Laxey 8am to 9am and 4pm to 6pm each day during the closure to help the flow of commuter traffic.
Access to properties will be maintained.
