Glen Maye Road resurfacing

Friday, 20 July 2018

Work will begin on Monday (23 July) to re-surface Glen Maye Road between Patrick Road and Glen Maye village.

The road will be closed both ways during weekdays from 9am to 4pm and will be fully open at weekends.

The work will take 4 weeks and has been programmed to ensure work is carried out in the school holidays.

The work will mean that bus services will be suspended, on days when tarmac laying is being undertaken, after the 8.35am service from Niarbyl to Peel and until the 15:54 bus from Peel to Niarbyl (Mondays to Fridays).

Updates will be available on Bus Vannin’s social media feed and the local radio. Facebook and on Twitter.

Work will stop for Royal Manx Show and the road will be safe to use by visitors and exhibitors.

There will be access for the whole period from the Roundtable and the diversion route will be fully signed.
