Registrations open for 2018 Tourism Industry Day

Angela Byrne, Head of TourismThe Department for Enterprise is hosting its annual Tourism Industry day on Thursday 22 February 2017 at the Villa Marina, Douglas and delegates from all aspects of the Isle of Man’s tourism and hospitality sectors are invited to register and attend. 

Angela Byrne, Head of Tourism at the Department for Enterprise, commented:

‘2018’s industry day is a free event representing a great opportunity for businesses involved in our visitor economy to listen to our plans for the year ahead and how we are fulfilling the objectives laid out in the Isle of Man’s Destination Management Plan

‘There will also be a series of workshops covering useful topics for delegates on digital marketing, customer service and pricing strategy so I would encourage all businesses with an interest in the visitor economy to attend.’ 

The keynote speech at the event will feature pricing strategy expert Debbie Richards presenting, ‘How to Sell More and Make More Income’.

A range of drop-in sessions and workshops will also be available featuring representatives of Visit Isle of Man, TLC, My UK, DEFA, and Cruise Isle of Man. They will cover topics such as digital marketing, customer service and audience development.
