European Union Eritrea (Sanctions Revocation) Order 2018 and Eritrea Sanctions (Revocation) Regulations 2018
The above Order and Regulations have been made following the Council of the European Union’s decision to repeal restrictive measures against Eritrea.
This decision follows the adoption on 14 November 2018 by the United Nations Security Council of Resolution 2444 (2018) terminating, with immediate effect, all UN restrictive measures against Eritrea.
The measures consisted of a ban on the sale and supply to and from Eritrea of arms and related material. There were no restrictive measures targeting individuals and entities.
