The OFT has been made aware of a telephone scam after concerned residents contacted Manx Telecom.
The caller claims to be carrying out a broadband coverage survey, using familiar names such as ‘BT’ and ‘OFCOM’, and may ask you to log on to your computer. In reality, the caller is simply trying to obtain your personal and/or financial details to enable them to carry out further fraudulent activities.
