Isle of Man Post Office helps raise funds for Charity CCLASP

Marc McLellan

Isle of Man Post Office's Sponsorship Committee recently showed its support to Marc Mclellan who has been raising funds on behalf of the charity, Children with Cancer and Leukaemia Advice and Support for Parents (CCLASP), through his IOM Viking 50p Collectors Group on Facebook.

Isle of Man Post Office donated five 50p coins, a mixture of its Christmas Pudding and TT Legend designs, to the IOM Group on Facebook, to auction off and raise proceeds to donate to the charity.

CCLASP helps children and teenagers suffering from cancer or leukaemia in Scotland. It also helps diagnosed families and bereaved families express and share with each other the feelings, anxieties, and horror of having a child with a life-threatening illness and it provides practical and emotional support.

Marc Mclellan, IOM Viking 50p Collectors Group, said:

'I was delighted with the generous support provided by Isle of Man Post Office which has helped raise £48 from the auction of the coins. This will help support all the vital work CCLASP does to assist children and teenagers suffering from cancer or leukaemia as well as the provision of on-going support for their parents.'

Sarah Read, Isle of Man Post Office Sponsorship Committee Chairman, said: "We were delighted to be able to help the charity with the continued work that it does from our donation of the coins."
