Second chance to hear talk by Team Sky nutritional adviser

Tuesday, 4 July 2017

Athletes and coaches are being offered a second chance to listen to a talk by one of the world’s leading sports nutritionist.

Isle of Man Sport, in partnership with Next Level Nutrition, brought Dr James Morton to the Island to speak last September.

James, who lectures in the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University, is nutritionist for Team Sky and has played a key role in its cyclists’ global success.

He spoke to a capacity audience about performance nutrition for endurance athletes.

There will be a second chance to hear the talk when it’s screened at NOA Bakehouse, Douglas, at 6pm on Monday 21 August.

Following the screening, Angela Clucas, owner of Next Level Nutrition, will answer questions from the audience. Angela gained a Masters degree in sports nutrition under the guidance of James. As well as running her business, she is a consultant to British Ski and Snowboard.

Trevor Christian, Coaching Coordinator for Isle of Man Sport, said:

‘If you are an athlete or coach involved with endurance sports or just interested in sports nutrition and didn’t hear James deliver his talk, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.’

It’s free to attend the event and tickets can be booked via Eventbrite.

Those attending can make a donation to the charity Isle of Man Sport Aid, which supports talented athletes in pursuit of their aspirations.
