Christmas offer to Curraghs Wildlife Park visitors

Wednesday, 30 November 2016

The Curragh’s Wildlife Park is welcoming visitors with a Christmas offer – half price admission in December and January.

It is also reminding visitors that its memberships and Animal Experiences make unusual Christmas presents.

David Cretney MLC, Member of the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture responsible for the park, said:

‘Even during the winter months, there is plenty to see and do, with all the usual attractions such as the Enchanted Wood, the Jumping Pillow and the café, open.

‘We have had lots of interesting new arrivals this year, including a pair of silvery gibbons, who are fun to watch, new Lynx and a new baby tapir who is very friendly.

‘The Christmas offer is available at our ticket office and means an adult can visit the park for £4.50, a child aged three to 15 for £3, a younger child for £1.10 and a family of two adults and up to three children for just £13,’

Mr Cretney said.

‘A visit to the park is a great opportunity to walk off the excesses of Christmas.’

Mr Cretney added:

‘If you are seeking a gift with a difference for a relative or friend, annual memberships, which are available for individuals and families in various combinations, will bring enjoyment all year.

‘Our Animal Experiences, for those ages six and over (eight for meerkats and coatis), give visitors the chance to experience life as a keeper, get close to animals and feed them. They are good value at £30 to £50.’

The park is home to 75 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and invertebrates.

It is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am until 4pm (last entry 3pm).

During school Christmas holidays, Saturday 17th December to Monday 2nd January, the park will be open daily with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
