New bus stop signs

Tuesday, 24 May 2016

Bus vannin is updating its 850 bus stop signs across the Isle of Man.

John Turton, bus vannin information officer, with old and new bus stop signsAll the old maroon signs that date from 2009 will be replaced with new flags featuring the current silver and black branding during 2016/17.

The new bus stop signs include the current web address – www.bus.im – where passengers can quickly access timetable and other information. They will also bear an identifying stop number and their location, ensuring better passenger information that is reflected in the next stop announcements being rolled out on board trunk services.

The old style bus stop signs, which can be used as a white board noticeboard, are available for sale from Isle of Man Transport, priced £10 for an unused sign and £5 for used. They can be purchased from the Railway Museum shop next to Port Erin Station.
