Wednesday, 13 July 2016

The Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster (IOMAC) and the Department of Economic Development will promote the Isle of Man as a place to do business at Farnborough International Air Show from the 11th – 15th July 2016.

Representatives from the Department will be on hand with colleagues from the Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster and the North West Aerospace Alliance to talk about the opportunities and services available on the Island for both potential customers and companies looking to relocate.

Laurence Skelly MHK, Minister for the Department of Economic Development, commented:

'Farnborough is the pre-eminent air show in Europe, if not the world! Active participation in the event is vital to promote the Isle of Man's aerospace manufacturing capabilities to an international audience. I am delighted that the Department, with our aerospace colleagues, is once again able to fly the flag for Isle of Man manufacturing amongst some of the biggest companies in the world.'

Adrian Moore, Chairman of the Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster and Business Development Manager at the Department also commented:

'The Isle of Man has built a strong partnership with our aerospace colleagues from the North West Aerospace Alliance and it is a great pleasure to be able to promote the services of the Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster alongside our valued partners. It is vital to build strong international business ties and Farnborough provides the perfect opportunity to foster new opportunities.''

Customers of Isle of Man based companies benefit from a developed supply chain and highly expert manufacturing facilities from an Island with over 70 years' history in aerospace development. In 2016 IOMAC celebrates its 10th anniversary.
