Financial Sanctions: Terrorism and Terrorist Financing

The Terrorist Asset-Freezing Etc. Act 2010 (of Parliament), as it applies in the Isle of Man, implements the terrorist asset-freezing requirements of UN Security Council Resolution 1373 (2001) and Council Regulation (EU) No 2580/2001.

The Council of the European Union has decided that AL-TAKFIR AND AL-HIJRA should be removed from the list of financial sanctions targets maintained under Council Regulation (EC) 2580/2001.

This means that the designation of AL-TAKFIR AND AL-HIJRA is therefore revoked. This entity is no longer a designated person for the purposes of the Terrorist Asset Freezing Etc. Act 2010 and is no longer subject to financial sanctions imposed by the Act or by the Regulation.
