Thursday, 9 July 2015

Code BusThe junior children at Ballasalla School were some of the first to have a chance to see and use the Code Bus that visited the school today as part of Science Week.

Pupils used touch screen computers to access various applications and had the opportunity to try out virtual reality goggles, remote controlled robots and even watch a remote controlled drone in action. While half the class were investigating the facilities on the Bus the other half were given an introductory lesson in coding in Scratch.

The Code Bus is a venture initiated by the Manx ICT Association (MICTA) and Connect to Charity supported by several local companies.
