Financial Sanctions: Terrorism and Terrorist Financing

The Terrorist Asset-Freezing Etc. Act 2010 (of Parliament), as it applies in the Isle of Man, implements the terrorist asset-freezing requirements of UN Security Council Resolution 1373 (2001) and Council Regulation (EU) No 2580/2001.

The Treasury has decided that the final designation in respect of the HOLY LAND FOUNDATION FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT should not be renewed when it expired with effect from midnight on Wednesday 4 February 2015.

This means that the HOLY LAND FOUNDATION FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT is therefore, from midnight on 4 February 2014, no longer a designated person for the purposes of the Terrorist Asset-Freezing Etc Act 2010 (“the Act”) and is no longer subject to financial sanctions imposed by the Act.
