The Export Control (Yemen Sanctions) Regulations 2015 (Application) Order 2015 has been made and has come into operation with effect from 27 August 2015.

This Order, which is subject to approval by Tynwald at its October siting, inter alia provides for offences and penalties for breaches of the restrictive measures imposed by means of Council Regulation (EU) No. 1352/2014, as amended by Council Regulation (EU) No. 2015/878.

The restrictive measures contained in the EU legislation applies to any person in the Island, and to various British citizens or subjects who are usually resident in the Island, as well as body corporates incorporated in the Island and limited liability companies registered in the Island.

The restrictive measures include prohibitions on the provision of arms and military materiel, technical assistance relating to military activities and the provision of financial assistance related to military activities.
