Investiture of Lieutenant Governor's Cadets

Lieutenant Governor Adam Wood has appointed two cadets to assist him in his duties in 2014-15.

For the next 12 months Robert Brown and Stephen Isherwood will be responsible for supporting and escorting the Lieutenant Governor at official functions and attending receptions at Government House.

Both went through a rigorous selection process and were nominated as outstanding cadets by their organisations.

Robert, aged 17 years, from Braddan is a Leading Cadet with St John Ambulance and attends St Ninian’s High School.

Stephen, also aged 17 and a student at St Ninian’s High School, lives in Douglas and is a Cadet Flight Sergeant with 440 (1st Manx) Squadron, Air Training Corps.

Both cadets will be on duty at a number of events in the busy period up to Christmas at Government House. One of Stephen’s principal duties will be to accompany the Lieutenant Governor at the National Service of Remembrance at St John’s on 9 November.

The cadets are looking forward to carrying out their duties.
