This news release is issued in respect of the restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities in view of the situation in Somalia.
Annex I to Council Regulation (EC) No 356/2010 has been amended with effect from 21 October 2014, following the publication of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1104/2014 (“the amending Regulation”).
The amending Regulation reflects the decisions made on 23 and 24 September 2014 by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Committee pursuant to UNSCR 751 (1992) and 1907 (2009) to add two individuals to the UN Somalia list.

If so, they must freeze such accounts or other funds and, unless licensed by the Treasury, refrain from dealing with said funds or economic resources, and suspend the provision of any financial services. They must report their findings to the Sanctions Officer at the Customs and Excise Division of the Treasury.
