FT supplement will showcase Island's vibrant economy

Friday, 9 May 2014

The Isle of Man economy will be featured next week in a special supplement published by the Financial Times.

A four-page ‘Doing Business in the Isle of Man’ pull-out will be included in Tuesday’s (13 May 2014) edition of the FT.

The supplement will showcase the strength and diversity of the Island’s business community and highlight a number of sectors that have contributed to 30 years of unbroken economic growth.

Articles have been contributed by FT staff journalists Brian Groom and Andrew Bounds who recently visited the Isle of Man to conduct a series of interviews with Government Ministers and key business contacts.

The production of the 2014 supplement supports our continuing efforts to raise the Island’s global profile.

It also builds on the programme of proactive political and business engagement aimed at promoting the Isle of Man’s reputation as a high-performing and well-regulated international business centre.

Chief Minister Allan Bell MHK said:

‘Promoting economic growth is one of our national priorities and the FT supplement helps to deliver our core messages to a target audience of decision-makers, business leaders and high net worth individuals. It also underlines Government’s commitment to the private sector by promoting the Isle of Man economy via a respected global brand. We will follow up on the interest generated by the FT supplement to create new inward investment opportunities and business leads.’

The collaboration with the FT will enable the Isle of Man to reach the FT’s global audience of 2.2 million daily readers and 17 million monthly website visitors.
