The Department of Social Care is today laying before Tynwald, the Appointed Day Order that will start the conversion of “currently regulated services” and the registration of “newly regulated services” to come into operation from 2 January 2014.
The Department of Social Care has contacted all known care services again to let them know what this will mean for them and what action they need to take from 2 January 2014. Further information including a comprehensive Question and Answer section can be found on the Department’s website.
The Minister for Social Care Hon Chris Robertshaw MHK commented:
'The process of registering newly regulated care services and converting currently regulated care services under the new Regulation of Care Act will begin from 2 January 2014.
I want to continue to ensure that care services are aware of the changes and what it means to them.
