Traffic Arrangements around Noble's Hospital during Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling

Wednesday, 21 August 2013

Staff, patients and visitors, those visiting the Palatine GP Group Practice, and the Manx Emergency Doctors Service, are advised that during the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling, the Helipad access road is closed to traffic - this is in the interest of public safety. The barriers closed at 18:00hours on Friday 16 August and will reopen at 17:00hours on Sunday 1 September.

Access to the main entrance and main car park is unaffected. Access to Accident and Emergency (A&E), Ward 20, Day Assessment and Treatment Unit (DATU) and the Palatine Group Practice is via the southern entrance (Braddan Road – A23). This is clearly signposted on all the Hospital approach roads.

Drivers are warned of the danger of construction vehicles using the road leading past Keyll Darree to the Isle of Man Hospice and are asked to take due care in this area.

Throughout this period, drivers are encouraged to use the Ballafletcher Sports Ground car park in addition to Hospital parking spaces. Drivers are also requested to park between the white lines in parking bays, respect marked disabled and ‘on call’ bays, and to follow the instructions of the Traffic Management Officers. On road parking is prohibited throughout the Hospital grounds.

The Hospital Management team value your cooperation during this period.
