Ivory Coast

On 11 February 2012 Council Implementing Regulation (EU) No 113/2012 came into force in the EU. This Regulation removed 30 individuals from the list of those subject to sanctions under Council Regulation (EC) No 560/2005.

Belarus

On 12 February 2012 Council Regulation (EU) No 114/2012 came into force. This amended Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 and inserted a new Annex IB into that Regulation. New Annex IB was to consist of those who have been identified by the Council of the European Union as being either -

  1. natural or legal persons, entities and bodies responsible for serious violations of human rights or the repression of civil society and democratic opposition in Belarus; or
  2. persons or entities benefiting from or supporting the Lukashenko regime.

However, no names were included in the new Annex.

Neither of the above changes have immediate effect in the Isle of Man, and the above is provided for information only.
