9th May 2008 EUROMANXIsle of Man Office of Fair Trading – Saturday 10th May telephone advice serviceThe Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is offering a telephone service tomorrow (Saturday 10th May) between 10am and 1pm to provide advice to passengers affected by the collapse of Euromanx. Anyone seeking advice on their consumer rights should contact the Office on 686500 where staff will be available to speak to them. Chairman of the Office of Fair Trading Quintin Gill says “Whilst we do not usually provide telephone advice services outside of office hours I am very keen to ensure that passengers affected are able to obtain advice. We appreciate the efforts that Flybe and Manx2 are making to offer alternative flights and understand that their ‘phone lines will be swamped with calls. Our staff cannot arrange for alternative flights but they can advise passengers on their rights should they not be able to take advantage of the options offered.”
