Important Safety Notices – Gainsborough and Aqualisa Electric Showers

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wishes to make the public aware of important safety notices which relate to specific Gainsborough and Aqualisa electric showers.

The showers concerned are:-

• Gainsborough GSX Plus

• Gainsborough GSX Deluxe

• Aqualisa Vitalise SL & SLX

• Aqualisa Energy 200

A potential fault can manifest itself sporadically within extreme conditions such as where there is exceptionally high water pressure and may put the user at risk. Typically a leak from the base of the showering unit will be noticed.

The manufacturer has taken the decision to recall all of the electric showers that might be affected.

This recall will be implemented with immediate effect and wherever possible the manufacturer will contact consumers directly, whilst simultaneously working with its distributors and merchants to alert installers and retailers.
