TopicConsultation on Isle of Man Government as a Single Legal Entity
TitleIsle of Man Government as a Single Legal Entity

As part of the Modernising Ministerial Government Report, approved by Tynwald in January 2014, Council of Ministers proposed that a review take place to consider the basis on which the Departmental system operated to determine whether it remained the most appropriate structure for the effective delivery of public services or whether an alternative approach was now required.
Following consideration of a report by Sir John Elvidge, KCB in November 2014 on the question of whether the Isle of Man should adopt Single Legal Entity status, Tynwald agreed that a full public consultation should take place.
The Cabinet Office therefore wishes to consult on a range of proposals in the report which considers whether Isle of Man Government should progress to Single Legal Entity status.
